Park Ranger Stanley E. Flynn  –  52 years old 

Bucks, Co. Dept. of Parks, Langhorne, Pa.

Died in the line of duty on 06/09/1993

Ranger Flynn, died in the line of duty on June 9, 1993. He was investigating a bicycle accident inside Peace Valley Park in New Britain Township. It was an extremely hot summer day, and as he was tending to the injured persons, he was struck down by a fatal heart attack.

Stanley E. Flynn Sr., 52, of Doylestown Township, died Wednesday while on duty at Peace Valley Park, New Britain Township, where he was employed as a park ranger.

Mr. Flynn was born in Philadelphia.  He had been a park ranger since October 1967 and was the recipient of many commendations over the years.

He was a member of the F.O.P. Lodge No 53 of Wrightstown, The Bucks County Park Rangers Benevolent Association and the Springtown Rod and Gun Club.

Son of the late Stanley he is survived by his wife, Karen A. Renson Flynn; three daughters, Mary Beth Frankenfield of Perkasie, Michelle S. and Rochelle N. both at home; one son Stanley E. “Scott” Jr. of West Palm Beach, Fla.;  his mother, Helen MAngler Flynn of Prince Frederick, Md.;  a brother Daniel of  Penndel;  three sisters, Janet Ashenfeller of Trenton, Patricia Novack of Levittown and Elizabeth Lanza of Philadelphia; and two grandchildren.
